white oak woolens is located on the western edge of the piney woods of east texas nestled at the back of a cove on lake fork reservoir, approximately 70 miles east of dallas, tx.  we operate a design and create studio that is dedicated to all things fiber.  

we produce hand knitted garments for our own personal use using other people's designs.  the designs are chosen based on the exploration and mastering of various knitting techniques including stitches and construction.  we do this for fun and to further advance our skills.  this provides the foundation of all we do for our customers.

we create our own hand knit designs which we produce, wear, and clean at least six times in order to test the garment integrity. upon release, these designs are available for sale as a download.  sample garments may be available for sale on occasion.

we design and produce infinity cowls using a hand operated circular knitting machine.  these cowls are very simple, made from fine fibers, and make an excellent layering pieces, even for the summer months.

we design and produce simple woven scarves, ponchos, and ruanas on our triangle and rigid heddle looms.

we do custom knitting for clients ranging from re-creating an heirloom piece to drafting a pattern and producing a custom fit garment based on an idea or a photograph from the runways.  the opportunites in this area of our offering are endless.  we are available to make you anything you would like.

our studio is closed to the public as a general rule unless you are near by and come for a fitting.  arrangements for obtaining body measurements are made on an individual basis and can be made in person.
