this version of the design was knit with a lace weight 50% silk, 50% merino yarn called "findley" by the juniper moon yarn company accompanied with a 75/25 merino wool/silk blend yarn from chile called "nuble."
the construction of this garment includes the addition of a 36" long separating zipper that is incorporated into the side seams and allows the wearer to cinch the waist which in turn blooms the upper bodice outwards from the body.
the stitch patterns were classic slip stitch patterns that worked very well together in transition from the back to the sides to the front. finishing details included a very beautifully executed turned standing collar design along with hems on the sleeves and along the lower edge of the garment.
